Dr. Sidharath Sunny Jhanji, DPM is a kindhearted and enthusiastic podiatrist at Sarasota Foot Care Center. He is privileged to provide a wide range of foot & ankle care and surgical options to patients at the practice's two locations in Sarasota, FL.
Dr. Jhanji was born & raised in Norman, Oklahoma and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Oklahoma. He then continued his academic education and obtained his doctoral degree from the Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine & surgery, where he received numerous awards and scholarships.
Dr. Jhanji was honored to stay in Miami to complete his surgical residency training at the Jackson Memorial Health System, one of the largest teaching hospitals in the United States. He completed all surgical requirements along with a significant amount of additional surgical procedures during his 3 year residency, and eventually served as the sole Chief Resident during his final year. He has obtained significant competency in all conservative and surgical aspects of podiatric medicine and acute & chronic lower extremity pathologies, which includes: trauma, external fixation, bunions, hammertoes, forefoot deformities, heel pain, wound care, diabetic care, vascular pathologies, elective sclerotherapy, nail disorders, joint replacements, tendon injuries, fractures, sports injuries, reconstructive procedures (flat foot & high arch foot reconstructions), and conservative pediatric conditions. While training with a substantial case load, Dr. Jhanji simultaneously conducted research and has been published in the Journal of the International Foot & Ankle Foundation.
Dr. Jhanji pursued an additional year of training as a Sports Medicine Podiatric Surgical fellow upon completion of his residency. His fellowship includes professional sports team affiliations with the Miami Heat basketball organization & Inter Miami CF soccer club, a conservative & surgical emphasis on pediatric conditions, sclerotherapy, PRP, stem cell therapy, and a focus on modern minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Dr. Jhanji is a patient-oriented individual offering exceptional communication and diagnostic skills, focusing on bedside manner and time with his patients. He is Board-Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Jhanji is dedicated to providing his patients with the highest quality of care and patient experience, committing himself to staying up to date with the latest conservative and surgical advancements pertaining to foot, ankle, and lower extremity healthcare.
In his spare time, Dr. Jhanji enjoys spending time with his fiancée, boxing, golf, outdoor and water sport activities. He enjoys building relationships with others and being involved in his community.
